OUR BOAT 'ANSON'
'ANSON' has been operating boat trips successfully from Birmingham's historic Gas Street Canal Basin for over 24 years.
Whether you just want to relax and enjoy an unusual view of Birmingham as the boat glides along, or whether you are looking for a novel venue for that special celebration or group outing, our boat 'ANSON' is ideal for the purpose.
It has an excellent bar, music is available and you can arrange food too if you want.
Whatever your group - office or works, friends, neighbours, university, Round Table, social club birthday, wedding reception or retirement celebration, you can be sure of having an enjoyable time aboard 'ANSON'.
PASSENGER BOAT 'ANSON'
A pleasantly appointed saloon can accommodate up to 42 people.
The large sliding windows can be opened wide when fine and sunny but can also provide complete protection from more inclement weather when necessary.
The boat is heated during cold weather.
A small area can be made available for dancing (complete with disco lights) if required -
for this the maximum number allowed is 35.
Toilet facilities are provided at the rear of the boat.
THE CRUISES
Starting from our base in Gas Street Basin, close to the city centre, the seven basic cruises we offer have something to suit everyone.
Choose A, B or C and you will travel along the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, a remarkably picturesque route out of the city through Edgbaston.
The pretty tree lined cuttings and the occasional embankment give wide views of the surrounding area.
Cruises D, E, F or G feature parts of the extensive Birmingham Canal Navigations and there are many things of interest to see.
These cruises give an intriguing insight into how the development of Birmingham and adjacent areas was originally based on canal transport.
Recent impressive additions to the waterside scene, such as the International Convention Centre and the Indoor Arena are also featured.

REFRESHMENTS
The boat's well stocked bar will be open throughout your trip. A wide range of drinks is available at pub lounge prices.
Tea and coffee can be made available on request.
Our caterer offers an attractive range of food, which can be delivered to the boat to order.
There is a selection of both individually packed meals and also buffets which can be laid out ready for your party to help themselves.
Alternatively, you may use a caterer of your own, or bring your own food, by arrangement with us.
If you plan a buffet, we recommend that you limit your party to 35 to allow sufficient room for food.
MUSIC
The boat has both cassette tape and CD systems and we carry a broad selection of music to cater for all tastes.
You are welcome to bring your own tapes or CDs to be played if you wish. No liability for damage to personal items played is accepted.
A public address facility is available if required.
In certain circumstances, live music can be catered for, although this will necessitate a restriction on the numbers of your party.
If this option appeals to you we are happy to discuss the possibilities.

If you decide to use this service, and we can recommend it, please deal with the caterer directly.
If you have any special requirements, please contact the company. They will do their best to help.
HOW TO BOOK

Our staff can discuss routes, starting points etc and answer any queries you may have and take your provisional booking.
You should then confirm this booking as soon as possible by sending
The completed and signed booking form to our office, together with a deposit of approximately one third of the agreed charter fee.
We will then acknowledge your confirmed booking and send you a note of the balance owing, which is payable 14 days prior to the trip date.
DON'T FORGET
Our boat is available morning, afternoon and evening seven days a week throughout the year.
